Deo Tibba Base camp Trek.

 

The Seri -Deo tibba base 

One of the remote valley treks which takes you through lush green valleys and meadows and across alpine forests, with memorable views of snow cold mountains and gushing mountain streams. One of the most scenic treks of Himachal Pradesh which takes you into the far away world of landscape fantasy in the Himalayas. 


SEASON: Mid May – October 

MAX. ALTITUDE: 13775 ft.

NUMBER OF DAYS: 05 nights /06 days

TREK Gradient: Moderate


Day 01:

Manali – Project Dam Site . (9780 ft.) – Chikka (10200 ft.) 

We drive for about an hour and a half from Manali to a dam site. Our trek will start from this site. The trail ascends gradually through a forest of pine along the Allian stream. If you are lucky you can spot a few Himalayan pheasants here on the way. Then we enter a forest which is full of Birch trees. The campsite of Chikka is located on a relatively flatter area, after which the treelike virtually ends. The place certainly does have some fabulous views. 


Day 02: 

Chikha – Seri (12800 ft.)

Duration: 4 to 5 hours

Just after walking a bit from the campsite we cross over a picturesque wooden bridge on the stream. The first part of the trail winds through birch forests and then we come to the end of the treeline. The climb goes gradually along the stream with some awesome views of the valley. Then we just open up to a huge meadow, which has numerous streams. We have to cross the entire meadow to reach our campsite which takes around one hour. 


Day 03: 

Seri – Acclimatization Day- Seri 


Day 04: 

Seri – Base camp (13775 ft.)

Duration: 4 hours

The campsite of Seri is just at he base of the hill so we have a small climb initially and then we enter an another valley. Then the trek is all flat and easy walking till you come to a stream. After Crossing the stream the trails is uphill through Boulders till you come to the camp which is on a morraine. There is a small water body here and the landscape here leaves one speechless. 


Day 05: 

Base camp to Chikka

Duration: 8 hours

Return on the same Route that you took on the way up.


Day 06 : 

Chikka to Dam Site and drive back to Manali. 



Note:-Training/ Trek Program is subject to change, depending on several factors including local weather condition, group dynamics as observed by the Instructor and administrative condition.

Exclusions

  • Travel from home city to and fro Manali
  • Transfer / accommodation / meals during travelling Delhi – Manali- Delhi
  • Insurance
  • Unforeseen handling costs due to weather disturbance , land slides, poltical unrest.
  • Deviation cost due to poor health or any other reason leading to additional porters, guides, hotel,meals.
  • Hotel / Guest house in Manali

You Should bring the following 

Day sack, cotton Shirts, cotton pants, woolen pullover, jacket, muffler, woolen cap, cotton and woolen socks, trekking shoes, gloves, light towel, chapplals, light rain coat or plastic sheet, sunglasses( other than blue color), torch with cell, electoral powder, water bottle, petroleum jelly/ Vaseline / cold cream, toiletries, needle with thread, ball point pen, personal medical kit, soap etc.

All adult participants are required to sign a risk declaration as part of the registration process. In case of minor participants, parent consent and signature is mandatory for participation in our programs.
