Monika has been a board member of Adventure North since its foundation in 2014. She designs and executes strategic outdoor experiential learning programs and solo women trek programs with us, while also handling marketing and PR for Adventure North.
Monika's background in geology sparked her passion for the Himalayas, where she hiked, trekked, and immersed herself in the local culture, exploring indigenous herbs, botanicals, and folk stories. Her adventurous spirit led her to start trekking independently, leading to a profound personal rediscovery. Her first major challenge was the formidable Lamkhaga, where she reached an altitude of 17300 feet. She chose to live with a group of shepherds for 10 days, an unprecedented decision, particularly for a woman. She fully embraced the shephards way of life, accompanying them through snowstorms and harsh weather. Since joining our team in 2014, Monika has led numerous successful treks like Pin Parvati, Pin Bhaba, Chandrakheni pass, Lamadug, Triund, Kederkanta and Markha valley. Beyond her professional roles, she is a certified Hatha yoga teacher who deeply values the spiritual essence of the Himalayas.

Kunzang is from Zanskar. He has walked the frozen zanskar since his younger days.. Kunzang looks after outdoor operations in Ladakh. He has succesfully summited Mt Nun (7145 m). Mt Kangyetse ( 6200 m), Mt. Stok Kangri (6157m). He has done all major treks in Ladakh mainland and Zanskar.

Sunil is from a beautiful village called Batseri in the Baspa Valley in Kinnaur, Himachal Pradesh. He is perfectly made for adventure. he knows the Baspa ranges like the back of his hands. He looks after the adventure site at Batseri which conducts Trekking, day hikes, rappelling and river crossing.
